San Francisco - Places to visit
Yesterday I had visited few places in San Francisco but before that I spent sometime on exploring the visiting places. I found the following places and thought of sharing it here for new visitors ...
- Ghirardelli Chocolate Shop - http://www.yelp.com/biz/ghirardelli-chocolate-san-francisco-2
- Fisherman's wharf
- China Town
- Pier 39 - Bay Cruise (Takes you under Golden Gate Bride and around Alcatraz)
- Pier 39 - Aquarium of the Bay
- Museums - Exploratorium, De Young Museum, SF Museum of Modern Art
- Golden Gate Bridge & Presidio Park - Vista Point North/South
- Alcatraz
Buy San Franscisco CityPass (http://www.citypass.com/) to visit most of the above mentioned places with unlimited Muni (Bus) & Cable Car acess to roam around the city for 7 days.
or
You can use Open top sightseeing bus tour - http://www.opentopsightseeing.com/index.php (21 stops covers all famous spots)
Parking is expensive(I paid 7$s per hour @ Pier 39 public parking), so better use BART or Cal Train to reach SF and then buy City Pass for roaming around all corners.
Mobile users can use http://www.wheretraveler.com/ to quickly find all spots near you in around 11 famous cities.
